Carlo Colloca

Carlo Colloca is a researcher in the field of Sociology of the Environment and Territory in the Science Department at the University of Catania, where he teaches Urban Sociology and Sociological Analysis as well as urban design methods. He is also editor of the magazine SocietàMutamentoPolitica. Rivista italiana di sociologia (Firenze University Press). Since 2010 he has been part of the Panel of Scientists of the Sociologia del Territorio dell’Associazione Italiana di Sociologia. His academic interests focus on shifting socio-territorial change, specifically the current economic crisis, the cities in the south of Italy and the relationship between immigrants and the young in urban and rural areas.
